wotlk raiding was so chill because of no world buffs. I pumped as a brown warrior in classic but i cant be bothered to do that every single raid night

As a new player i like the remix format. Streamlined to level up and experience the story without having to do all the filler. Grab 10 corncobs then grab 10 strawberrys yada yada

I miss playing SoD. I stopped at phase 1 because I had no time, but I might buy a character boost and get my rogue up to speed to try out the end content in phase 4. We'll see.

The classic population drastically died down. I don't think anyone lost sight of what made classic, classic. I think they tried it, played it to their contentment, and then wanted something different after a playing the exact same experience for years.

Unfortunately with the changes to melee hunter, I don't think I'll be back

I miss when classic WoW was a game about exploring and getting up to some crazy antics with your friends. It's not meant to be about hyper optimizing endgame content.

At this point I think "Classic" needs a bit of a rebranding. What they are calling "Cataclysm Classic" isnt really "classic" anymore, they should call it what it actually is: progression servers. Other MMOs have done the same thing. The "Classic" label should probably be reserved for things that remain Vanilla or Vanilla-like, so Era, HC, and SoD.

For me hardcore classic was how I remember the game at launch, people just played differently at launch and hardcore got them to play like that again..... Until they all quit.

The one current version I don’t play is cata, I hated it when it released and it destroyed my main and resulted in me walking away from the game for years. Still disappointed wotlk didn’t stay.

im so tired of worldbuffs already.we did that before,not willing to redo it honestly,just to do the same content in a boosted content just cause we have boosted abilities. lets hope we will get some new content otherwise sod has offered what it had to offer already.

There are Shaman tanks in Classic Era, not just in SoD. They have much better tools in SoD, but so does everyone there. I've been in a dungeon with a Shaman tanking on HC a few times, the highest level one being ST. I was a healer for one of those runs (SFK), and the tank definitely took more damage than a warrior or bear would, but it's not a significant problem because leveling content is easy, and while I had stop to drink more, so did the tank, and having to drink 5 times instead of twice in a dungeon is absolutely fine. I didn't heal in ST, so I'm not sure how much of a problem it was there, but I assume it was similar. In terms of threat, Shaman probably have more single target threat generation than the normal tanks (at least against things not immune to nature), and at higher levels when there are larger pulls they have enough tools for AoE threat to keep mobs off the healer, and focusing down targets one at a time should mean the DPS don't need to worry.

They need to literally add NEW content. Zones, classes, and everything. "Expansions" aren't it. They have to keep the same exact system as Vanilla but with more content. Not just new gear and abilities.
